Spending Easter At The Ballpark

Normally on a Sunday, I go to church (that is since I've been going to the church), so to say it felt weird to not go, is an understatement. Especially on Easter Sunday (last time I missed was last August, and that was for the college group camping trip, which even then I'm not sure that really counts as missing).

Regardless, today I went to my third baseball game of the year (season only started on Thursday), however prior to that I ate at El Torito for Sunday Brunch, down in Anaheim. When we got to the ballpark, we got in just as they were first letting in fans into the stadium (or at least the third base side, home plate gate might have been opened sooner).

The game itself, was nothing really to write home about. Ervin Santana (Angels starting pitcher) didn't really have his stuff today. He gave up a first inning homerun (that Bourjous should have caught, but popped out of his glove and over the wall), which ultimately set the pace for the game. The homerun put the Royals on top 3-0, and they really didn't look back from there. They went on to win 7-3, taking 2 out of 3 to start off the season.

For Angel fans (that haven't had a chance to attend a game yet), the Rally Monkey is still alive. There have been four movie clips in which they have used the Rally Monkey in (from the two games I've gone to). Those movies are Titanic, Dumb and Dumber, American Pie, and The Hangover (first one). Out of the four, the Titanic one is the best in my opinion.

I haven't visited the concession stands a whole lot, but the few prices I did notice were $6 for a souvenir soda, $9.25 for Heavenly Nachos, and that's about it. Like I said, I haven't had a chance to visit the concession stands to checkout other prices. The next time I will get to, is next Tuesday 4/17, as I will be going again to the Angels game, to see the Angels take on the A's. Reason why I'm going, is simple. Albert Pujols bobblehead giveaway.

One last thing. Jordan Walden (Angels Closer), recently had a poll on Facebook where fans voted for his entrance song, and the winning song was apparently Time To Play The Game by Motorhead. Normally I wouldn't think twice about the song, however if you are a wrestling fan (like I am), you'll know that it's the entrance theme and has been for years now for Triple H.
