A Bond And A Pitch

Actually I just took the themes/titles of the last two movies I saw and threw them together. In this case, those movies would be Skyfall and Pitch Perfect.

Skyfall is the latest James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig, and is a rather solid entry in the 007 franchise. I enjoyed the movie, albeit thought they could have explained better how Bond survived his wounds (won't say which wounds), but it wasn't a glaring distraction for me. The villain in the film played by Javier Bardem was more of a throwback to other James Bond villains such as Jaws, and he really shined in this movie.

In terms of where I feel this movie falls in the Daniel Craig as Bond rankings, I would place this movie ahead of Quantum of Solace, but below Casino Royale.

Pitch Perfect was advertised as a comedy, and it did have its funny moments, but I wouldn't say it was a comedy. For what it was, I enjoyed the movie, although I felt it took a bit to long to establish where it was going, as the beginning of the movie seemed to drag a little. The film was based on collegiate acapella groups and competitions, and with that, that's where I'll leave it at.
